well, after two years of living in the ghetto, i'm finally moving out of wolf village. or, as i like to call it, "The Bronx." i honestly think living off of New Bern avenue, or anywhere in durham, would be quiter than living in that place. it is LOUD and OBNOXIOUS. constant rap music. fuck that.

i'm gonna be honest here, when i moved in, i didn't realize it was going to end up being like 90% black that live there, else i never would have. they are very, very loud.


EDIT: or maybe it was just my floor. the people that lived around us were cool dudes, just loud as fuck all the time.

I actually found it pretty lame when I lived there in 06-07. There was a high black population but I don't recall a lot of partying. It was mostly sterile and there was little sense of community. You pay a shit-ton to live in a cramped environment where the bed takes up like 60% of your room. The computer lab is nice and the C-store is ok if you don't mind paying out the ass.

I lived there on and off when I wasn't co-oping between 2005 and 2007. I actually lived right above the RD of the entire complex. The first RD was a cool guy, he didn't bug us, but the second guy (Don't know what his name is, but he had a giant lazy eye) was a huuuuge dick. Anytime any of us made a tiny little noise he'd come banging on our door about how we woke up his damn baby at 9:00 on a Friday night. I'm not sure what he expected when moving onto a college campus, but whatever. I was in building H, I didn't really ever talk to any of my neighbors but the few times I did they were all nice people. Oh yeah and Wolfman lived in my building too, anytime there was a floor meeting or something he would always hit on the girls, and he was convinced that someone broke into his apt, smoked pot, then left.
