Just played lochmere yesterday...greens are too long and slowwww but they have done a decent job with changing the drainage

think we got it for 25 walking at about noon

anyone played a good round recently at a fair price? where and how much?

Those cheap pull carts are terrible

They roll like Kmart shopping carts and they make you look Rodney Dangerfield

You should just get a good solid backpack style carry bag instead

I got a new one a few months back, taylor made, and it feels just like carrying a heavy backpack to class

plus it can hold 14 Coors Light's

Playing Tobacco Road tomorrow morning for the first time ever, looking forward to it...

New additions to the bag this year, Nike SQ Driver & new 56*

I think my friend got the course for $49 because they recently worked on the greens

Eagle Ridge is $30 with a student ID during the week. On Friday they have staggered pricing for students. Course is in great shape...absolutely awesome.

I heard a great golf course burn this morning. me and my buddy played this morning and got paired up with two other guys, cliff and arther. just after the 9th hole tee shot, it went something like this:

Cliff: hey man, did you hear about that new super walmart they're building?

Arther: uhh, no...where are they building it?

Cliff: Somewhere between my ball and yours

Zing!

^Did you tip it out? That course can be tough from those back tees. Very well placed bunkers in my experience.

anyone looking to play monday or tuesday morning ?

up for anywhere under 40.

as for deals. Lake Shore is 19 to walk during the week course is easy as balls but in solid shape.

also what's the cheapest round during the week around here other than a knights play etc.

i dont care if im playing in a hay bale out of a chevy, the lowest money wise.

So I started playing golf with my dad's old clubs and they are standard size. I think they're to short. I'd like to get some new clubs that are sized for me and then buy some used ones that are that size. Where is a good place to go? Any other recommendations?

^^^ i played from the blues, not the tips, but i'll tell you what- they place the bunkers perfectly on that course. You really have to strategize around them.

i went out and played the course again today with my dad, and had a fantastic time, shot 84 (which is fantastic for me). T

The back 9 is gorgeous and the fairways are in perfect shape. absolutely love the course. well worth the money to play it if anyone is looking for a good new place to try out

^^ rockbottomgolf.com and 3balls.com have always treated me well.

ebay always has the best deals, if you're just getting started you can get a solid set of used clubs for rather cheap on ebay, i've bought quite a few clubs on ebay and always been pleased but i guess it depends on who's selling them.

is a good idea as well if you're not too brand oriented. Their quality is top notch. Great warranty and man are their irons smooth. Friend has a set of TRX Control irons and i smash them.

I would go to Golf Galaxy or Golf Smith and see what they have in the used section. I just got last year's Callaway Big Bertha irons that looked like they may have been played with 5 times for $299. I also got a ping g5 driver for $80.

I went to the range for the first time in 2 years. It's amazing how I'm actually still better than some of the people around me and I'm not that good. Pretty fun, but I don't want to get into this sport again because it's damn expensive.

after almost a year of hating golf, im back to my pre-golf pro love of the game. since i needed something new to look at, i'm selling my 2008 burner driver. I'll be at knights play tonight if you're interested.

^^Don't buy from ebay. Those so called "good deals" will probably mean the club is fake.
