Who ripped off who?Kid Cudi - Day and Nighthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tln5gGCs1cUvs.V Factory - Lovestruckhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIunP5FgD4ASeems too close for coincidence. I first heard both songs debut on the radio in the past 2-4 weeks. Someone selling the same regurgitated beats twice?

neither of them produced the track

Wait, you're just now realizing that rappers are talentless hacks?

they're very similar (speaking of the one looped riff).[Edited on May 11, 2009 at 5:19 PM. Reason : +]

What the fuck is a Kid Cudi?
5/11/2009 5:19:16 PM
all the beats in the world there are going to be some similarity.that is about as small of a similarity as you can get. there have been songs that came out with the EXACT same beat at the same time though. i think a ja rule song did that. there were some unhappy people

Been listening to Day and Night for sometime, glad to see it made it to the radio finally.Lovestruck was a free download on iTunes a while back.

never heard of V Factory, but that Kid Cudi track is old as shit... at least use the Crookers remix to compare them
5/11/2009 7:01:01 PM
^I'm not that big of a fan of the remix.
5/11/2009 7:34:49 PM
yeah i know i found the kid cudi song/crookers remix a long ass time ago. and it sounds like the loop youre referring to was produced by the same process, the sound alone still doesnt sound that similar between the two.that and kid cudi's track isnt an embarrassingly gay song to admit listening to.
5/11/2009 7:49:09 PM
^^ I love it... but then again I love Garage and it has a lot of elements of it in there.
5/11/2009 7:50:22 PM
there are tons of tracks that are reused in some way all the time. I thought that is what tracks are for.
5/11/2009 8:23:02 PM
I've been listening to Kid Cudi since I went to nyc in August 2008. So its been out for a while.
5/11/2009 8:27:43 PM
i think everyone agrees it has been out for awhile

For the record, I heard it a month before whatever the earliest date mentioned during the course of this thread is...
5/11/2009 8:38:16 PM
I heard it in 1996
5/11/2009 10:07:20 PM
I should have titled the thread: How cool are you? Tell me when you first heard this song.
5/12/2009 9:21:58 AM
Kid Cudi is pretty close to talentless
5/12/2009 9:46:04 AM
kid cudi was my boy back in the day, we used to chill on the stoop smoking spliffs after school
5/12/2009 9:47:59 AM
they both suck
5/12/2009 10:01:24 AM
I saved Kid Cudi's life one time back when I was his BFF* so he wrote that song for me and let me be the first person ever to hear it. He didn't even listen to it himself before playing it for me.* Please note that I was his BFF, but he was not mine.[Edited on May 12, 2009 at 10:34 AM. Reason : s]
