more options for freshmen it seems - i thought when i was a freshman you could use the centennial storage lot and that was your only choice

CD is Coliseum Deck.

I am talking about all the spots on Morrill and Cates. Those are RE - Resident East now. WTF.

IIRC, those have been resident or staff for a long time.

what pisses me off is you get your choice of main campus decks/centennial decks.....there is no longer a combo permit (DC)

after 3pm you can park in the one you dont have but I always have multiple classes on both campuses before 3 pm

Thank God I graduated. So, sophomores off-campus get West Lot. No other options.
And those with DD get fucked after 3pm with all the CD kids who have late classes.
Oh well. Good ole NCSU - screwing up the registration process, the parking process, pretty much forcing Engineering kids to live on Centennial...what's next??

hey now, not all of the campus is incompetent

i mean, yeah, it largely is, but there are a few bright shining spots of excellence here and there

i almost want to just say fuck it and not buy a Centennial permit...they never ticket out there anyway, and I'm sure the couple of tickets I might get wouldn't come near the 300 for it

also a couple of replies in here if anyone is interested:

how much are tickets now? $50 or $60?

I remember racking up about 6 when I lived on campus freshman year

I got lucky and was able to get a dan allen pass. How nice that they raised the price AND lowered the number of spots available. They are going to make much more from the pay lot now

tickets are 60...although they've probably bumped it up to 75 without telling anyone

I wonder if the new centennial deck extension will be open?

shit, when i've talked to people from OU, Penn State, and VT, their charges are absolutely insane. I can't remember how much it was, but their parking ticket prices are way higher. And something like 300 per semester for passes

I don't really care. I am parking in the Renolds Deck like I did last year and that was the only deck I ever used anyway, but I can see how the new system sucks. I do miss being at Wake Tech where they have $10 student permits that allow you to park anywhere on campus.

It's just frustrating from the standpoint of an Engineering student.....almost all of my classes are on centennial, but I've got a a few in the morning on main campus.

The DC system worked fantastic for me last year (short of the clusterfuck last fall), it's really fucking annoying to pay the same price and get half as much accessibility.

As noted above, it's fucking stupid to be able to afford to drive a car to NCSU, pay the fucking $300 permit fee and still have to take a bus class.

I just hope the paylots aren't going to become a giant clusterfuck...

I called them and ask what the expectation was for students who had classes on both campuses before 3pm....I was told I was to find a parking meter or park in the pay lot.

i think we need to get the root of the problem and stop letting so many people into the university.

[seriously]
