^ that's not true...if someone used your format, you would still know, but you'd have to resort the numbers from the pattern you're using to a more familiar or accepted pattern

this is true, but the notational use of YYYY, MM, DD implies a particular order...otherwise, it's actually only ####/##/##[Edited on May 12, 2009 at 2:06 PM. Reason : haha, i'm just being difficult also, please post in my thread?]
