Really think he was fired? It seemed to me like the travel was a legit issue, and the MNF schedule this year has him going all over the place. This is the similar thing to what did in John Madden.

Kornheiser was a unknowledgable hack and didn't belong in a football announcer's booth. I absolutely HATED him on MNF. At least Gruden will know his shit.

This is patently false. There's plenty of former coaches who are awful in the booth, did you ever see any of the games that Larry Coker did for ESPNU? He was turrible. Charles Barkley has an extremely entertaining personality, not all coaches do.

I started to detect a little schism between TK and Jaws as the season went on. It's usually because Jaws, who has no sense of sarcasm, would blast Tony for saying something retarded. Usually Tony said it to get a reaction. It works on PTI, but it failed on MNF ... at least with Jaws on there.

I think Kornheiser wanted out anyway. He would frequently make remarks to Wilbon when discussing NFL figures and guests on "Five Good Minutes" that they would be better in the booth than he was. He seemed to be aware of the criticism towards him, he just didn't do anything to change it on MNF. Or that's how I saw it anyway.
