I know this is going to sound like a silly question but how do you change the column title in Excel? As in, can I change column "A" to specifically say "Date" and column "B" to say "Time?" If not, how do I set column headers that won't be calculated in witht he rest of the data?

just type the column names into a cell. only reference the cells with data in your formulas.

do what? there's a limit to how many data points you can use. i think there's an problem between the chair and the keyboard.


=mean(A2:A5) will give you the average of cells A2, A3, A4, and A5.

^Yes it will, but keep in mind you don't want this function to be in column A or it will create a circular reference. It's best to actually define the size of the data in your function. If it needs to be dynamic, then use a range.
