What does one do if picked from a line up and are not the suspect?

They don't put more than one suspect in the same lineup. It's the suspect and then a bunch of random people. If the witness picks you and you're not the suspect they don't throw you in jail

nothing happens if you get picked out of a line-up if you aren't the suspect. That just goes to help the defense in saying that the witness couldn't pick them out of a line-up. And I always thought that the 'extras' in the line up were out of uniform officers?
