^noodles are coated with corn starch after the cooking process to prevent them from sticking together. dropping them in boiling water separates the corn starch from the noodle, creating the frothy bubbles.it is also why many people toss pasta in extra virgin olive oil- to keep it from sticking after cookingQUESTION ANSWERED!
