I would like to transfer the rubber spring underneath my Fn key (never used) to another key that missing the spring (spacebar has 1 out of 3, my forward slash is working fine but missing the spring, it will probably take priority). I tried to remove it using pliers but it would not give. What is the correct way to pull it up? I have tried removing the plastic scissor-like cage surrounding the piece of rubber and it is adhered strongly to the base.

After removing it, would superglue be a safe bet for adhering it to the new area? Everything has been cleaned with alcohol nicely.

Hmm, the springs may be all attached to each other in one big rubber sheet under the keys. What model do you have? I actually have a junk toshiba laptop with a perfectly fine keyboard I could probably give you. I'll check the model # when I get a chance.
