Yeah it takes months of extensive training to master the "come on" hand wave and the "stop right there" stiff arm

they were doing this on hillsborough this morning. i'm not sure how many new cops raleigh needs, but they had at least 10 at the 3 lights that i went through on my way to campus.

It does for some of these cops. I almost pulled over and handed a cop a set of high visibility gloves I kept in my car (I worked DOT at the time, sometimes we had to tell dumbasses on the highway to shift lanes so they wouldn't hit us) because you couldn't see a damn thing he was doing (later on at night, dark blue police outfit) until you were pretty close to the intersection.

I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be wearing such gloves (which are slightly reflective as well) so that people go "Oh, look honey! Jazz hands! I should slow down."

Oh well, I just hope they don't end up causing an accident.
