^that's actually true. Some of the more exotic tacticool and military and/or police training models look like the real deal, at least they did when paintball was getting more widespread. Mommies everywhere were convinced it would lead to using real guns on people.

well yes that may be the origin, thats not why people are/were trying to keep calling them markers and not guns
