so my gym has individual tv's on all the cardio equipment and i constantly see people watching food network

i'm not the only one who thinks this is dumb right?

i mean the only thing i can think is that they are showing themselves what htey can eat if they work hard, but almost nothing on the FN is stuff you should eat when trying to get in shape

seems like it would just make you hungry while you work out

the food network will be the first out the door when the Party deems it unhealthy. Will be replaced with the Five Minutes Hate channel intersplicing pictures of holocaust victims and cakes

because there are no shows on the food network about healthy/low fat/clean eating that would appeal to people concerned about their health

because eating healthy means bland? because getting in shape means you can't enjoy food?

Although I do admit that seeing some fat tub of lard drooling over paula deans butter food would make me lol

Ghrelin stimulates growth hormone secretion, so they may be on to something. If they can resist the urge to gorge on junk food after doing cardio, their body will shed fat quicker and be predisposed to burn off gut fat.

I like to watch paula deen and the butter buddies at the gym.
Then again, I work out 4 hours per day, so I can eat lard.

Paula Dean showed me how to wrap my protein shake in bacon, batter it with creatine, and deep fry it.

watching Ace of Cakes or any of the Challenges that involve cake makes me NOT want cake. after watching them play with it for 30-60 min, the thought of eating it is

My favorite paula deen dish is the ladies' brunch sandwich. It's a burger topped with bacon between two doughnuts. Best way to get your carbs and protein after a workout.

Mmmmmmmmm

Why would you watch healthy food porn? The point of food network is to cringe at the nasty shit that paula deen and rachel ray concoct. Those two are hilarious! EVOO, bitches!!!

And I like to watch Top Chef at the gym so I can stare at padma's fine ass. It's great motivation to get in shape.

HARDLY a paula deen dish

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luther_Burger
the snopes page even reference the Fat Homer Simpsons ep!

and I like to watch padma when I work out too, but for diff reasons.

And if being hungry makes you burn more fat then I must burn mad fat at the gym b/c my metabolism is so fucked that I almost go to the gym hungry. At the end of the work day I'm always throwing food in my mouth so that I don't pass out halfway through my workout.

club performax for now, why?

and going completely off topic, but using the Luther Burger as a transition, I had a burger in Greenville that was topped with collards and a Fried Egg.

While her pants are quite nice, I'd prefer to try her tuna taco. This thread is about food, not fashion, right?
