Love everything this band did, "Relationship of Command" is still in constant rotation on my ipod.

Ridiculous live band, pretty much thought they'd never do a reunion show since they reportedly haven't gotten along with the "sparta half" of ATDI. But today I ran across this new interview focusing on TMV's "Octahedron." When asked about an ATDI reunion Cedric of all people said:

Quote :
"I don't know what to say about that really. We've been making amends with a lot of the members and having some really good talks with them. And we've been trying to get our financial business in order because a lot of people have been ripping off that band really badly...as far as the business side goes. I wouldn't mind it. Y'know, it might happen, we just have to iron out a lot of personal things. A lot of it we've dealt with already and I've apologized for a lot of things I've said and the way it ended...we'll see what happens."

That is certainly not a "yea man we're be doing a reunion tour next year" response but considering the relationship I've known the ex ATDI members to have I never even thought I'd hear Cedric come remotely close to hinting at something like that so it gives me more hope!

Anyways, apreesh!

relationship of command = junior/senior year of high school for me (granted, i graduated 4 years after it came out/they had already broken up, but still )

we used to download live videos from kazaa and watch them for hours, haha

at one point i think we had the whole set from the 2001 Big Day Out festival in Australia

haha I know what you mean man. I was huge into that my junior/senior year as well(2002-2003 for me). Its funny because my sophomore year (about a year after it was out) a friend introduced me to them and I didn't like it. Then I gave relationship.. another try the next year randomly and loved it.

Thats awesome about the live videos from kazaa I'll have to check the youtube link when I get home though; I always liked their Letterman performance of "one armed scissor" too.

It weirded me out to see the "One Armed Scissor" video on MTV occasionally.

I too got into them my junior year of high school. Although I've always been more partial to in/CASINO/OUT. Napoleon Solo was the song that got me into them.

acrobat tenement, vaya, in/casino/out, and relationship command are all fucking amazing. Even El Gran Orgo is pretty good, the only reason I dislike it is that they didnt even finish writing / recording because the record company was like fucking them over and they just dropped it and left. Anywho great thread, I would be there front fucking row if they reunited.
