Bigman what is your opinion of HCL based nasal sprays

I have this same problem and Afrin really kicked ass for a while. Now I'm hooked on it though when I wake up in the morning my sinuses are so tight and under pressure it sounds like a high powered rifle going off when they finally clear

i have a deviated septum/ non-allergic rhinitis aka a fuxored nose as well

breathe right strips never worked

sprays are for allergies, so it doesnt help in the long run, just makes your nose get stopped up faster if you dont keep hittin the spray

now i just drink myself to sleep ( when it bothers me most) and hate my life the rest of the time

1) Afrin should only be used for 3 days in a row max.

2) alcohol will cause your sinuses to snap shut

3) most nose sprays are for allergies, but if you go to a doctor you can get a steroidal spray that you can use every day & will kick donkey butt.

I can't get enough air through my nostrils to do simple exercises such as jogging. I think it's a defect. Those fuckers will just about suck closed if I try to move a lot of air through them. My doc said it looked normal except a little inflammation and prescribed some steroid spray, but I think there's more to it than that.

^^Nasonex is the shit, but insurance companies don't want to pay up without special reasoning (at least mine)... it's a long and complicated story, but when my insurance switched and I tried to get a refill, the new insurer wouldn't pony up the money for the Nasonex... If my sinuses get too fucked up again, I'll go to a doctor who will explain why I need it and not some bullshit beconaise or some other shit...
