The guy who sits next to me in the office's computer has started to crap out this morning, and he comes up to me telling me that the master plans to a middle school we're working on are saved on his desktop. I told him to just put them on the server before we switch his computer out, but apparently there are linked .tif's in a lot of the drawings which won't move with the file when it is resaved or copied. My level of CAD knowledge is low at best, and I have no idea how to help the cause here... so if someone could shed some light on the solution I would be your best friend forever.

Basically I'm looking to save a .dwg with the now-linked images attached... if that makes sense...

you could use the "e-transmit" command....it is under the file menu. Once you click on e-transmit it should guide you through it and it will package all applicable files, images, plot styles, etc. into a zipped folder.

Where is this command? I'm looking for it under >file but I don't see it... What version of CAD are you talking about? We have 2009 and 2000, which happens to be the one that these plans were built in.

Thanks for the hep by the way...
