Hick- One who grows up immersed in and fully accepts the 'country' culture with its pros and cons. They have either rejected or were never exposed to alternate ways of life. They may seem a bit out of place, but are not necessarily bad people.

Redneck- A hick or hillbilly that seeks neither self improvement or the finer things in life. Is happy living for today and could care less what you think. A redneck doesn't necessarly lack a work ethic but their lives tend to suffer from a lack of strategic thinking. Some seem to go out of the way to sabotage their futures for no reason other than to look like stronger rednecks to weaker ones. White trash- While some rednecks are white trash, white trash typically is a suburban/urban concept. These people reject a culture of excellence/improvement. Instead, they try and survive by doing as little as possible and have no problem living off the government. Most can easily be convinced to live in and/or make their living in the underworld. Criminal behavior well beyond redneck rowdyness is typically under the surface at all times. They are chronic substance abusers. Stay away, shun them like the Europeans shun Gypsies. Too much contact will not end well.
