Just pulled in and noticed my brake lights won't turn off. I'm assuming this is because of a bad brake light switch. Are these easy to replace? Something i can find at autozone? I'm sorry i'm tired and it's been a long day and i haven't had as much time to google the issue as i'd like. I figure you guys can give me a quick answer. 6/20/2009 12:12:34 AM |

If you don't have cruise control, I have one of these switches brand new in a box in my shitpile.
If you have cruise, do not pass go. Do not collect 200 dolla. Go to the dealer and pay $Texas. 6/20/2009 12:15:44 AM |

I have cruise. I figured it out. I found the brake light switch and the switch itself is fine, but the plastic gasket that goes in the arm (connected to the brake that makes contact with the switch pin) broke and fell off. So i need to find a replacement gasket or something to go in the place. A piece of ducktape would probably even work. I doubt autozone carries that specific a piece.
-stopper would be a better word for the piece.

I glued a stack of pennies together and glued it to the bracket once.
Used a nickel another time. 6/20/2009 12:50:39 AM |
