So I bought a used HP4200dtn and have it up and running. Problem is, when I try to use the duplexer, it prints one side really faint. For example, when I print a two-page document, the first page, appearing on the front side of the output sheet, is very faint, but the second page, on the back of the output sheet, is printed fine.

I would just like to get your opinions on what you might think might be causing this problem, and if there's anything I might do to fix it, before I package it up into its huge boxes again and send it back and hope they refund my money. I would be grateful for any input of this sort.

this only happens when you print a duplex document?

that doesn't make any sense all it does is flip the page around and spit it back into the printer to get run through the fuser again

going out on a limb... have you tried different paper? lol

I just tried flipping the paper to see if that made any difference....nada. Guess this fella is going back where he came from.
