Don't get me wrong, it's actually a pretty good movie.I'm just slightly pissed about the new-found popularity of the alias "Tiberius," which I've been using for going on two decades

It doesn't have any sort of reference to the Command and Conquer series, does it?Nevermind, you said two decades. My bad.[Edited on June 21, 2009 at 3:01 AM. Reason : s/s]

"Tiberius" has been known in lore as the middle name of James T. Kirk, though I don't think they ever mentioned it in the original series. They did officially clarify that in the new movie, and now people are jacking my alias everywhere!11

Every time I think of the new Star Trek movie all I can think about is how all those Starfleet commanders who were waiting patiently to get promoted to captain must be pissed that the captain spot for the fleet flagship went to a third-year cadet punk who wasn't even a commissioned office yet.

I was surprised they didn't terminate the alternate timeline at the end of the movie somehow.[Edited on June 21, 2009 at 3:10 AM. Reason : EPIC SPOILERS ITT]

^What, like having that fake-russian-sounding "nuclear wessels" guy wake up in the world of normal-show-timeline and it turns out the whole thing was just a random and meaningless dream?Or just have Shatner pop up at the end of the credits and say "Oh, by the way, Trek fans... this is all bullshit and doesn't actually count"?[Edited on June 21, 2009 at 3:17 AM. They could slingshot around the sun and go back in time and stop them, or follow them into the temporal vortex before it collapses, or catch the magical happy dreams rift and wish it all away, or...I mean it's fucking Vulcan, how's a nigga gonna do Vulcan like that? What about the pon farr episode? Now that never happened!?![Edited on June 21, 2009 at 3:22 AM. Reason : lol]

^^ Personally I think either of those endings would have be hilarious ^^^ Why is it surprising? The only reason for the alternate time line is that they can now rape the shit out of it in future movies and go, "It's an alternate time line. Nothing from the past 40 years of Star Trek media matters lololol."

Enterprise was rape, nothing can be that bad

haha I remember watching the first episode of Enterprise and going, "Yeeeeeeeeeep, that's enough for me!"Did it even last past the first season?

In this time line, humpback whales are still extinct. There is no Vulcan any more. There is no reason for Kirk and Company to go back to Vulcan any more after the events of TWoK (if infact, they do even happen)thus Kirk will prolly be somewhere near Earth when the Probe comes looking for whales.Earth is destroyed.
