Okay. I need to be able to look up someone's automotive background for tickets and violations. I know his full name, address, birthday, license number... But every site I go to wants to charge me, and while there are some for only $5 or even $1, I question the legitamacy/security.

Any and all help appreciated. Yes I searched. No I found nothing helpful.

This is not free. Public Records cost money. If you want local records, go down to the courthouse and request it there, it's only a few bucks.

The advantage to using online records (I would personally only ever use Intelius) is you can get national records from many many agencies with a single fee.

But the shit ain't free. Even FOIA requests cost money.

^^ be careful with Intelius, I background checked myself and it charged me every month under some sneaky guise of a charge. I had to contest it with the credit card company I used and the whole thing was a mess. They literally charge you monthly but you have to pay every time you want to see the report, and for each report. rip. off. site.

Actually they are one of the most respected information database aggregators in the world. I've used them several times over the years with no issues.

There's a difference between being a ripoff, and you not reading the terms and conditions of a membership / purchase. They charge you everytime you view a report, because it costs money to RUN the report everytime. Which is why you SAVE and PRINT those reports. It's pretty damn clear on there the difference between subscriptions and one-off purchases.
