Red Sox were trying to get Gaby Sanchez from the Marlins about a week ago. I guess with Bates producing they will back off. Not that they would be able to trade for him anyways.

Yeah the sox def. need an unproven firstbaseman with 8 career ABs. Forget goin after kung fu panda from SF or waiting on Lars Anderson. Lord knows they don't want Nick Johnson or somebody like that. Yeah I want Gabby......what was that last name? The sox are linked to trying to get half the league so the Marlins aren't in a special situation.
