Not giving a fuck about health and tossing in ridiculous amounts of butter, fat, and grease does not make one a good cook.My neighbor keeps a tub of bacon grease on his stove that he uses in pancakes and eggs. His pancakes are the best I've ever eaten, but it's not because of his culinary skills.

i think its primarily older black women that i see that spot a bad driver, have to avoid said bad driver, and then as they pass, turn their head to yell at them with the windows down, head shakin, spittle flyin while they pay no attention to the people they (choose any of the following) a) cut off, b) tailgate, c) slow down, d) will be yelling at next

Oh, sorry for looking at food as something more than a source of pleasure for my weak plebeian brain.I'll give you another example just to drive the point home. The best hamburger you've ever had in your life was probably just made out of the cheapest, fattiest ground beef at the store. If you grab two packs of ground beef; one that is 7% fat and one that is 20% fat, prepare them identically, and serve them side-by-side the 20% burger will always taste better. Fat tastes great. That doesn't make you a good cook though and it certainly isn't a "better" food for anyone who doesn't have a need for gratuitous amounts of fat.[Edited on July 7, 2009 at 11:09 AM. Reason : l]

I too have sent my compliments to the chef... but only after putting some of the food in a vial and sending it off to a lab for a nutritional analysis.

grits are like 99.99% water anyway. You might think there is little to be done with them, oh but you would be so wrong. Even the texture was magnificent

I like my grits like I like my women... thick but not chunky.
