I love your pictures, even if I won't pay full price for 90% of the stuff you're selling.

Patagonia stuff is wayyyyyyy over priced, but I won an awesome hoodie from the BANFF Mountain Film festival that's made by patagonia.

But their pictures are pretty sick.

yeah. I'll wait till stuff goes on sale in the off season. The only thing I REALLY like from them is their button up shirts. I've got a few of them, all but one on sale. If you ever see any of their organic t-shirts on sale BUY THEM. I got one for $6 because of an irregularity with the ink and it is the most comfortable t-shirt I own bar none.

not sure how it's overpriced if you only have to buy it once for your lifetime...

patagonia guarantee and customer service >>>>

though i guess it helps if you live near a patagonia retail store as opposed to having to ship it back, but even so... >>>>>>>>>

Hmm... maybe over priced was the wrong combination of words. More than what I'm willing to pay is a little bit closer.

You make a good point, but I've got shirts I paid $20 for that I've had for a decade.

Overpriced is a relative value. At my income level and with my clothing requirements, I find Patagonia to be overpriced.

+1 on their customer service and quality though. They've been around for a minute, so their pricing is obviously working for them.

i've had one of their freewheeler max duffels (the $400 hard bottomed wheeled duffel) that i beat the shit out of travelling. originally the frame on one of them punctured through the skin, and so i shipped it back and received a new one within a week, no questions asked. then on the new one, about two years into using it, one of the grommets on the handle wrap came out, so i walked into the store with it, asked if they could just repair it, and the guy goes "let me check if we have the equipment here to do that" goes in the back, comes back out with the newer model of the bag off the shelf still in plastic, and goes "here you go, we dont have the capability to do the grommet repair in store anymore, but here's a new bag!"

FTW

all my travelling bags/luggage are patagonia bags for this reason.

similar situation with an R2 fleece as well, and that was really me just seeing if i could get away with it by sending an older fleece that had gotten a little natty. new fleece came w/in a week

Yeah my R1 Fleece hoodie is amazing. But... I paid like $8 for it and one it in a raffle which is the only reason I have it.

Patagonia used to be good, but now the majority of their shit is made in China and the quality went down the tubes.

BTW--you can get baggies shorts (for men) and some organic t-shirts (for men) at TJ MAXX at a big discount.
