so do you freeze your bread all the time or do you just freeze the bread you have in storage.

seems like quite the ordeal to go through each time you want to make a sammich, defrosting the bread and all.

i bring the bread home from the store and it goes straight into the freezer

if i want a piece or two, i open the bag, pull out a couple slices, and put it in the microwave for 15 seconds

it srsly add less than a minute to the sandwich making process

[Edited on July 8, 2009 at 12:45 PM. Reason : and it saves me money b/c a loaf lasts almost a month]

that's interesting, i didn't know people did that. I thought it was mostly the let it sit out in it's bag on the counter or keep it in the fridge.

i for one go through my sammich bread like a mad man so it never even gets to see the fridge.

Whole wheat white wonderbread ftw.

now how do you handle the butter situation.

1. keep it in the fridge
2. keep it on the counter at room temp
3. smear on floor for roommate prank

i keep it behind the little plastic door at the top of the inside of the fridge door

so it's in the fridge, but never way back in the back to where it's hard as a fucking rock

and if i need spreadable butter, i use the country crock tubs

also, i buy 4 sticks of butter at a time and only keep one in the fridge. the others are stored in the freezer because i buy butter like once every 4-6 months

you would use and enjoy delicious butter more often

if it were easily accessible on the counter

and spread easily due to its warmth :9

man what wouldn't you put it on

popcorn

delicious toast

perhaps mix it up with a little honey for an easy, tasty spread

some steamed veggies

your hamburger buns

the possibilities are endless

i keep it in it's wrapper in the fridge in the door as well.

i can't keep it on the counter, i feel like the stuff just gets too dirty sitting out like that.
