Yes, I know it's frowned upon, etc etc. However I just purchased my first house and need the money a lot more than a WoW account.

Have any of you sold a WoW account before? Any references on good/legit sites to get a fair deal? Any information is appreciated.

And yea, you can sell accounts -- depending on what characters you have, what gear is present, and what mounts/achievements you have, accounts can sell for well over $1,000 -- however most sell for 200-600

ebay doesn't allow the posting of WoW accounts any longer and I've already put an ad up on craigslist -- would be interested to find out what companies actually buy accounts as well though.

I am currently looking to part with my beloved restoration shaman!

The account includes:

Level 80 Orc Shaman - Cenarion Circle Server - Main Spec is Restoration with 3x T8.5 pieces and 1x T8 piece, giving you the 4 piece bonus. This character will be removed from his current guild before the account is transferred over -- he is currently in the highest end raiding guild on the horde side for the server and has cleared everything in Ulduar 25 except for some hard modes and Algalon. With full raid buffs + elixir and food this character breaks 3k SP. Just about every slot is filled with a best in slot piece, the remaining slots are all iLevel 226 or better pieces from Ulduar 25/Naxx25/OS25. This character is max level skinning and leather working and has learned one of the new Ulduar 25 patterns as well.

This character also has 2x T8.5 Elemental pieces and a couple T7.5 Elemental pieces -- if you decided to switch to full elemental you would still need to acquire some more gear, but his amazing Restoration gear will still allow you to put out decent dps while you do that!

This character has the red proto drake for completing the Glory of the Hero achievements, and the 200 stone keeper shard mammoth!

There are also around 30 Conquest badges still available for this character to use as they wish.

This account has never received any negative action from Blizzard and I am the original and only account owner.

There is also a Level 65 Blood Elf Paladin I recently started to level who currently has his epic charger (so you wont need to worry about completing the annoying quest line) and has the bind on account shoulders, +hp/kill trinket, +mp/kill trinket, as well as the bind on account 1h sword and 2x axe. This character face rolls over everything and has all the gear you need to continue playing this character as a prot pally or switch to a ret pally.

Server and name changes are available for these characters if you so choose as well.

The price is negotiable as I recently purchased a house and am in more need of the money than I am of the account.

If you decide to purchase this account, you will receive the account name/password -- this account has been merged to a battle.net account. You will also receive my secret question and answer.

I will also provide instruction on how to download the game client/expansions if you are not familiar with the process (Its directly through Blizzard, not anything shady)

Incorrect -- you can only transfer characters between accounts with the same name. However the account can be paid by anyone, with any form of payment they accept (Visa, mastercard, wow game cards, etc).

The only thing you cannot do is transfer the characters from my account, to a separate account, unless the account you are trying to transfer to is registered in the exact same name.


Also, I thought about posting in the main WoW thread, but this seemed like a better way to do it to get information without causing a huge problem in the WoW thread that is running.

no point leveling if you dont have anything particuarly special in terms of equipment. the time and effort will not be worth the payout.

i only got what i did because it was early and i was one of the first warlocks on my server with the lvl 60 'lock mount at the time.

A lot of account value has to do with timing as well, for instance if you tried to sell this same account 2 months ago it would be worth more probably. Now with the patch due in a week or two people can just run heroics and get similar gear (unfortunate I know) as well as the new instance so that probably dropped the value on the account at this point.

Posted on craigslist for $600 -- figured it would be worth seeing what types of responses I got, didn't actually expect it to sell for quite that much -- had a few people offer around the $300 range, and 2x scammers trying to buy it for full price ASAP in broken English -- Google Trae19791 to see some of the information on one of the scammers lol.

I'd accept a reasonable offer if one were to come along

On a side note, a friend of mine left me his old account as well that I played before I purchased my own account and leveled the shaman. On his account there is a level 80 prot warrior in 5man heroic gear and a few pieces of 10man naxx gear -- nothing spectacular, and a level 60 priest from vanilla wow that hasn't really been played since vanilla wow came out. If anyone is interested in buying my account, I'm more than happy to give you access to this old account as well. I don't know his secret question/answer, nor can I guarantee that his account will never be reclaimed, but I have no use for it anymore. The prot warrior is on the Uther server -- horde side, and the priest is on archimonde on the alliance side.

My shaman account has an authenticator attached to it as well for what its worth -- I will remove it upon request, or give you the authenticator if you want it.
