What would constitute an other than honorable discharge from the Navy? Could lying about a medical condition get you an OTH discharge?

i dont think it would. not based on any real info, but shit how many people come on the history channel to say they lied about their age or a heart condition so they could serve?unless you lied about a communicable disease , but shit i think they test for that every ten minutes in service

friend of mine got an "other than honorable discharge" from the amry for "disobeying a direct order from a commisioned officer", he was restricted to base, got caught coming through the gate, CO found out and kicked him out. good thing about these types of discharges is that you can file for a honorable discharge after about six months of being out, i think that is why they give them, so they dont fuck your whole world up for the rest of your life with a "dishonorable", but they find a way to kick you out of the service

OTH is like the second worst discharge you can possibly receive. That really sucks for whoever is getting that. This is verbatim from my OCS Student outline:

guy applying for a job, says he lied about serious asthma to get in. had a major attack and they found out he lied and got an OTH discharge.

"asthma attack" probably means he got caught smoking dope and coughing up a lung.
