got a question, i am going to washington dc for 2 days, and we are staying at greenbelt state park witch is bout 30 mins from dc.. any one in here ever stayed at this park? this is my first time staying there and it looked nice. i just wanted to get some feed back from someone who camped there before

Hey dude,

I used to live right beside Greenbelt Park. Ask me anything you want. It's generally a nice area, but it's surrounded by sprawl, so it's not gonna be very woodsy, if that's what you want. Still, it's secluded enough for an urban area, and the Greenbelt metro is nearby. You can also hop on 495 at Beltway Plaza and take it into the city or around to Alexandria or Arlington pretty quickly.

I remember once, for spring break, we camped at Linville Gorge. Like halfway down in the gorge, about a mile or so away from the parking area. We packed in two cases of beer and at least 3 fifths of liquor.
