Not the best animated movie ever made. It was way too short (1h19m) and could have used more character development. It was decent, though.

Yeah, I would have liked a bit more explanation about the soul-splitting thing. There wasn't much to do with the ending anyways, I was ok with it. You couldn't have a hopeful "we'll rebuild this world" thing like in Wall-E.

overall a disappointment. I should have waited for it to come out on DVD bit torrent.

The visuals were good, and it was a decent concept, but it almost seems like they created the models and world designs, THEN wrote the story afterwards.

Just got back from it. Personally I thought the soul stuff was retarded (plus imo it conflicted with the steam punk feeling of the movie). I also felt the explanation for the collapse of human civilization was somehow...inadequate, like they should have delved into it more beyond the whole "man used science to create something that should never have been created" thing (but to be fair, I'm biased against that kind of thing). But overall it was pretty good and was worth at least one viewing.
