they ripped off the lemon song from howlin wolf (which was their most shameless piracy in my opinion), but i know they also got travelling riverside blues from robert johnson and nobody's fault but mine and in my time of dying from blind willie johnson. i'm sure there are others i'm not aware of.

pretty badass, a lot of 'em were played at too fast a tempo, but i dunno, maybe playing each riff at it's natural tempo might have made the overall progression sound awkward.

This is pretty much my ambition with guitar. I wanna be able to play intros, riffs, bridges, etc. --- the easily recognizable portions of songs because playing verses bore the hell out of me. Also, without the accompanying instruments, many times it just sounds weird.

I am a no talent ass-clown, and I don't give a damn.

That was awesome. Can't believe you couldn't tell it was Sweet Child when it was played, pretty obvious as nothing else sounds like that lick.

How many songs use the chord progression I - V - vi - IV? A lot.

^^

all ya need are the common open major and minor chords and bar chords, and you can play 90% of all rock songs.

I wouldn't even bother with most of the chords you find in chord books. you can learn 'em when you need 'em.

Unless you're trying to be a serious guitarist. then ignore everything I tell you.

why is he playing some of them in the wrong key

it'd be one thing if he were linking them by the first and last notes

but he's not

teen spirit is in F, son

also, the right hand tapping on eruption (100) isn't hard at all, it just takes a little practice to make it sound that fluid

64 sounded pretty wild for just one riff

all in all pretty cool, they should put this guy on 96rock and make some kind trivia challenge out of it

yeah i also noticed how some of them were "off" from how I've learned them, but I don't know enough theory to know what he was doing wrong exactly. teen spirit and machinehead were two that seemed wrong to me.
