they're running the stupid ass run flats--it's not the high speed aspect that makes them expensive. it's the can go 50+ miles with 0 air pressure thing.

every sane corvette owner ditches them for a cheaper tire and just carries around a 12V compressor and a plug kit. if you get a hole big enough you can't plug it enough to get you to a service station you're probably gonna need a tow trick anyways

The other thing someone rightly pointed out is that this vehicle has NO offroad capabilities. If someone is being followed by it and they do have offroad capabilities, escape should be no problem.

the idea behind this thing is not the speed, it's the surprise factor. no one expects a corvette to actually be an unmarked deputy.

also, the thought of it probably made some deputies' dicks swell up.

Whats he gonna do, pull you over for slowing down? All his camera is gonna see is you slowing down and him (potentially) plowing into the back of you. You tell the judge you slammed on the brakes b/c you saw a nail in the road and there ain't shit they can do. Fucker shouldn't have been following so close.

or NRR gets charge with wreckless driving or improper control of his vehicle. you can't just break check people and expect that it's not your fault. sure, in NC, most of the time, a rear-ending is blamed on the one in the back, but not always, not if there is evidence to show that the person on the breaks was driving improperly.

He had a car pulled over on 540 near the 40 exit a few days ago. The deputy has to be about 6' 5". 300#. It was kinda funny watching him fall out of it.

I saw this vehicle tonight (about 1/2 hour ago) off Jones Franklin road. My wife called (she spotted it first) off Jones Franklin at the vet place nearby Crossroads Shopping Center. When I go out there I don't see it there, however, I see a patrol car in the area and a black z06 going the other way. I make a u-turn and when I drive down Jones Franklin, he's pulled into somone's driveway with lights on! I guess he escorted the man home. Sick sick car.
