the TV idea is mainly just craving residue from when i played video games. I'm not that into them anymore unless i play with friends at a party or something.

I think the camera would be a good hobby.

hmm, keep the ideas coming though i feel like we were going places.

i just bought a new suit a couple months ago for my bro's graduation.

I need to buy a new pair of round-town shoes, a belt, and some new dress shirts would be nice. Oh and boxers, need some more of those.

[Edited on July 23, 2009 at 1:28 PM. Reason : ^how much do those mini motorcycles cost? I prob won't fit on one anyway.]

what does one particularly look for in a purse? Stiching, organizing dividers, built in mirrors, exterior looks, type of strap?

i'm sure they're all important, but which one stands out most to you (you're a girl so obviously not the price tag)?

if you are going with a camera and you are not into the hobby presently or have no real photography knowledge i would advise in not spending so much on the camera and step down some.

get a $400/$500 Dslr and spend the rest on a few lenses to get you going.

honestly? here's my checklist:

1. kate spade - she's my favorite purse designer
2. visually appealing and in a nice color
3. large enough to hold my daily necessities and possibly more
4. strap length - not too long or too short, just right to fit on my arm
5. and for fuck's sake it must be AUTHENTIC! I hate knock-offs and would never ever ever carry one

But when i read threads like this it makes me realize what better things that money could have gone towards. (more booze, more hookers, more midgets).

I love football, but I wouldn't pay $1k for a ticket this early, when my team only has a 1/32 chance in being in the game

Shit, I wouldn't pay $1k for a Super Bowl ticket period

bought the camera, against all the advice i heard to buy something cheaper and work my way up.

I read through the basic use and some advanced features last night. did some post processing and i think i'm definitely capable of completely understanding the ins and outs of it all.

going downtown after work today to start practicing my skillz yo

Ha DJeternal

He originally posted "1/16" chance, which was correct

Then he edited to "1/32" which is wrong

You have a 1/16 (2/32) chance of being in the game

but only a 1/32 chance of winning it

congrats on the camera but you might regret spending all of that on a camera body.

you probably should have spent less on the body and purchased at least a prime and a telephoto that is unless you have lots of money to spend. if you only got the 18-55 kit lens you will grow really tired of its functionality very soon.

good luck ... i hope you enjoy the hobby as much as i do

Thanks man.

yea i got that lens kit and I'll be working with it for a while until i completely figure out the camera. I didn't say this earlier, but a friend of mine has a nicer lens he's going to get rid of by the end of the year that he's promised me i can have.

I'm absolutely hooked on the camera, instant gratification. And what i like about taking pictures is that after you're out physically taking the pics, you can come home and chill and tweak it on the computer. Seems like a calm, productive, creative hobby to get into. Definitely think i made the right choice.

that sounds cool. do you know what kind of lens you will be getting. you will def. want to get a 50 prime lens or something close for low light setting and its a fantastic portrait lens. its a must have for
pretty much any serious photog.

this lens will make you a better photographer
