Damn shame.

This guy always ran an exciting D.

Eagles are going to be hurt on D with his passing along with losing Dawkins.

I agree that there may be a slight decline at first. But the same def is returning 10 starters. Minus Dawkins. The effects shouldn't be that noticeable.

As an Eagles fan for a while now I always enjoyed watching their defense and the great blitz-schemes that Johnson used, and he truly was an amazing coach and seemed to be a nice guy. Definitely RIP Jim, you'll be missed.

I put JJ, Kiffin, and LeBeau in the same category as legendary defensive minds of our day

He was pretty damn good. McDermott was there with him a long time though so I imagine he'll be running a very similar D. Still sad to see a guy this awesome and not too old die that way.
