Quote :
"An intense portrayal of elite soldiers who have one of the most dangerous jobs in the world: disarming bombs in the heat of combat. When a new sergeant, James, takes over a highly trained bomb disposal team amidst violent conflict, he surprises his two subordinates, Sanborn and Eldridge, by recklessly plunging them into a deadly game of urban combat. James behaves as if he's indifferent to death. As the men struggle to control their wild new leader, the city explodes into chaos, and James' true character reveals itself in a way that will change each man forever."

I really liked it. The ending almost fell apart but overall it was very enjoyable.

Saw this a few weeks ago. I found it excellent -- i appreciated the laser focus on the team.

I really liked it

I loved that there were many things about James that weren't fully explained (or even explainable, really): there's a lack of conflict/compartmentalization between his civilian and military lives that was refreshing

I found things that weren't explained/force fed were meant to be open to interpretation, by design. Also, it's worth seeing just for the fact that it's directed by a woman.

maybe not blatant holes, but some highly improbable and unlikely bullshit.

Very enjoyable movie but I hated the main character.

Sniper battle scene was excellent.

is this sort of like a generation kill rip off?

no

Gen Kill is about Marine Corp's first recon mission into Iraq in 2003

Hurt Locker is about bomb squad in the Iraqi war.

Same War though

if by incredible you mean full of cool explosions and a goofy plot, then yeah.
