I've been trying to decide if I were in a hostage situation, who I'd rather have come to my rescue....Gibbs or Bauer. I think Gibbs cause more people on NCIS tend to live through those

Now see I've got to say that I'm actually not too happy about the L.A. one. I'm a big believer in let a good thing be. I don't want the producers/writers/directors having to concentrate half as much. Plus, there will never be another Gibbs. EVER

I'm hard-pressed to pick a favorite character, but if forced to do so I think I'd pick McGee. Probably because I identify with him the most (except that I'm not a successful author, of course). But sometimes I want to groin-punch him and tell him to quit being such a wuss.

Yeah....I suppose I identify a tiny bit with at least something in all of them...but mostly I just wish I was as cool as them I guess I'm like Tony in the sense that I have a dirty mind and love college stories...and I sometimes FEEL like McGee and Abby when I'm talking to some of my non-l33t friends or family about something...my mom (who also watches NCIS) even made a comment once. Ducky in the sense that I love to talk to talk and go off on tangents that no one wants to hear about. Ziva in the sense that she too has a dirty mind at times and loves to give the guys a hard time. Gibbs? Well I share his feelings of frustration when you ask someone to do something and they stare at you....waiting for something.

But mostly I just envy things about them and was all set to join the real NCIS because I wanted them as co-workers and bosses...until I saw this show on the Military channel 'The REAL NCIS' and the people were complete toolish dorks...

rofl, reminds me of the differences between CSI the tv show (wtf? since when do CSI people do police detective work) and real CSI workers (just chill in a lab all day after the initial crime scene clean up).

I love this show!!! Gibbs is my favorite. always stealthy and to the point. haha. i find it hilarious when he hits Tony in the back of the head.

BTW, how exactly does Gibbs get from a sniper's nest on a hill a half mile away to the hallway outside the interrogation cell in 30 seconds. I know he's badass but I didn't know he could fly.

Original is awesome.....sequel hasn't impressed me yet. I think they have too many characters or they are trying to hard. Something about it just doesn't strike me yet.

I think the problem with the LA version is the lack of defined social structure. There are no clear job roles or job hierarchy. It's too ad hoc to figure out the work flow.

I agree with all of the above statements. This one seems too "planned".

The use of bleeding edge technology (I know thats supposed to be the LA office's "thing") is a little too much for me. Seeing LL Cool J using a multi touch screen is just something I cant take seriously.

The one thing I do really like about the show is the physchologist. In the original NCIS I always thought it was forced when Gibbs went and had Ducky do a psych profile. I always wondered why they didnt just have a real psychologist do it and not the ME. Sure, Ducky is portrayed as being brilliant, but it just seemed wierd.

The "G" thing is going to be played up a little too much this season too I am afraid. (I havent watched last nights yet).
