This one is a very recent one, but it was perhaps my most successful in that in resulted in some positive change... we collected a good amount of extra pet food because of that thread. I mean I've had some other threads where I post about an event or ask people to support a cause by e-mailing, calling, or donating & it is hard to judge how much those actually affect things, but when you see someone carrying in a lot of extra pet food, you know its worked and it makes me

haha, the one that stands out in my mind was called something like "Six Degrees Of Penetration".

In hindsight, it was a terrible idea, and the thread only achieved moderate success, but the premise was that you listed every person you'd had sex with, by full name (or as much as you knew/remembered). The idea was that it would be funny and interesting to see exactly how much cross-pollination was going on.
