slightly different plot lines, although no surprise since it went from book to tv. looks cool. i have a hard time getting on board with a show for a whole season because my schedule is unpredictable, but the book sounds really good and now i want to read it

I saw bits and pieces of this show tonight...not sure I can totally get into it, but isn't bad either. Is it made by the same people who make Lost?

I'm not real sure if it's the same production company or not, but you'd have to think so seeing as they gave a huge nod to LOST with the "Oceanic Airlines" billboard that was shown in the opening scenes.

i changed the channel once they asked the doc who was about to commit suicide how the kid was doing and he only responded "he's taking a turn for the worst!" then a minute later he yells out "he's heading downhill. his stats are dropping" lady from lost then says "we need to intubate (or something) him STAT!!"

cheesiest dialog. i can't stand that crap. the suicide doc should have responded with something like "his bp is 130/54" or something a little more intelligent. crappy writers.

the thing that always gets me with shows like this is ok....2 normal FBI agents from the LA branch are "running point" on this investigation while the tech-girl is scanning surveillance tapes from all over the country. IRL this shit would have been swallowed up by homeland security or the pentagon, or at the very least FBI in DC, so fast that these agents would be back to fixing garage door openers in less than a week. yeah, i know he was doing that anyway

The first episode is the most important! It's what determines whether a show is even picked up. It also serves to either gain viewers or lose them. Watching it with others, I started saying things like "I'll bet this happens to him or I'll bet this is the cause of that." By the end they were getting annoyed because I was always right. And it was painfully obvious that not everyone would be found to have blacked out during that time period. The only thing that surprised me in that first episode was seeing Seth MacFarlane as an FBI agent.

Yeah I would have believed it more if it was like a hallway with the guy walking with his back turned. Not a stadium that required her to zoom in to see the guy. That was a little BS. But I still like the idea of the show.

At some point one of the doctors threw out a blood pressure while the beepy machine in the background was giving a long, single tone, like there was no heartbeat or something. And I was all like, "umm, I'm not doctor, but doesn't blood pressure require a heartbeat?" (or, at least both numbers in the blood pressure reading)

lol, since the show is ABC and so many Lost actors are gonna be in this series, I was thinking the main guy was Richard Alpert from the quick shots in the previews, then after about 4-5 minutes in I was like "this doesnt really look like Alpert..." and I realized it was that guy from Shakespeare in Love and that other movie where Heather Graham has nude scenes...killing me softly or something like that
