i just called a girl out on facebook in the cnn news comments about this:

Quote :
"Krystal RacKenback Cleroux hahaha to the girl that said "the ER cant refuse you" are you kidding? DUH! But its not free! you get a bill sent to you in the mail for the charges IDIOT! Its not free. Why do you think there are SOO MANY people in debt with health bills and what not? WOW! That was the most ridiculous thing I have EVER heard."

it was just a jab:

Quote :
"really? 18+ years and today was the day huh"

but then i can't think of the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard, even if it is just an expression

I once heard a friend of mine say he would rather fuck Maggie Gylenhaal than Jessica Biel

That was probably the most ridiculous think I've ever heard

I would not fuck a bad actress, no matter how hot she is. I'm pretty sure the moral dilemma would permanently flaccidate my penis.

I got into an argument with a friend about whether or not poker is a sport

I argued no, poker is a game, not a sport...because sports depend on physical prowess

he said that poker is physical...players have to hold their cards and put chips in the pot and shit

this was about the time I started to realize that this guy was genuinely crazy

not the stupidest thing I've ever heard, but the stupidest that comes to mind at the moment

5 : an individual exhibiting a sudden deviation from type beyond the normal limits of individual variation usually as a result of mutation especially of somatic tissue

while I myself often argue against the validity of calling something like poker a sport, it does fit the definition or a recreation or particular activity to pass the time

and it is also a game that is considered very competitive (money makes the world go round)

with things like this, I generally go by the common-usage definition

there is a fundamental difference between such games as baseball, basketball and soccer, and such games as Yahtzee, Scrabble and poker

this difference is commonly recognized by calling the former games "sports" and the latter games just games

I suppose people are at liberty to use the most general dictionary definition for "sport", if they like...but I mean, if I ask somebody "Do you play any sports?" who's gonna say "Yeah, I play Euchre, Risk and Clue"

I hear ya...but this sort of pedantry, when it is meant seriously, really grinds my gears

When I was in kindergarten, I picked on this one kid all the time. One day, he pointed out that since he was a month older than me, I should leave him alone. Because his mom had recently told him that you should respect your elders.

Chess is recognized as a sport by the International Olympic Committee.

But I guess it's still funny right? NERDS HAHAHA

Quote :
"Sport is an activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively. Sports commonly refer to activities where the physical capabilities of the competitor are the sole or primary determinant of the outcome (winning or losing), but the term is also used to include activities such as mind sports (a common name for some card games and board games with little to no element of chance) and motor sports where mental acuity or equipment quality are major factors"
