The bad thing is that there is no reason for a leaf blower to be loud. A tiny muffler would make it almost silent. Supposedly people equate the sound with having more powR and that's why companies keep em loud. Something tells me that if there were one or two "nearly silent" models in Home Depot they would fly off the shelves.

most of the sound mine makes is from the air intake for the blower, not the engine.
