So my girlfriend this week made the mistake of going to Myrtle beach (Go figure) with her roommate's family who are from right outside NYC on Long
Island. Everything she told me reinforced my philosophy on stereotypes. While you should not judge somebody immediately stereotypes
do exist for a reason. Apparently this held true for this family of yanks. A few of the stereotypical yank acts I heard were....


- The mother complaining for a FUCKING hour with the hotel management that her room was not acceptable because it was a beach View Room
not a beach Front room. Apparently since they could see the parking lot from the side window of their corner room, the rear did contain a ocean
view with balcony, the room was totally unacceptable.

- They only ate at Applebee's, TGIF, [insert cliché' shitty chain restaurant here]. Her roommate does not eat fish, dark meat chicken,
red meat, vegetables, and must inspect the menu of a restaurant before sitting down to ensure they have food she likes.

- While out to eat the mother sent her food back b.c it was too cold then complained when it came back that it was too hot

- While at the pool my g/f brought in her roommates dad's t-shirt figuring her forgot it since the parents had been gone for over an hour.
She got bitched at for this cause apparently the t-shirt was there to hold the chair for him for whenever the fuck he returned (after shopping for a couple hours likely).

- They bitched about how it was too hot and mommy broke a sweat

- The parents took great pride in how much they love NY and don't like the south.

If the north is so great perhaps they should GTFO and hit up the NJ shore with the rest of their guido friends for vacation.
Myrtle beach is a shithole the only people that seem to enjoy it are yanks, red necks, and high school kids. I could probably think
of 10 other beaches on the NC/SC shoreline I would rather take my family to.

i once went to myrtle beach with a mixed group of yankees and southerners. the yankees behaved pretty stereotypically.
i mean, come on, you go to myrtle beach to get absolutely hammered and hook up with some white trash princesses, not because it's a classy place.

Myrtle Beach provides a necessary function to society. The more people that go there the less there are to clutter up other superior beaches.

Maybe northerners go to MB because it's the only beach they've heard of. No sense in trying to course correct this.

I don't know about you but unless its some shitty fast food place; I have NEVER gone to a restaurant, looked at the menu, and been well golly gee I do not like ANY of the food on here. Perhaps my taste in foods is very diverse but I am sure this sort of picky pallet this roommate has is not the norm; nor do restaurants cater menus to such a narrow food taste.

I do not particularly enjoy Chinese but I can eat some sesame chicken if this is where my host/parents would like to eat.
