I absolutely love this movie, but have never seen it with a live cast.

I want to go watch it at the Rialto, but am a little nervous about just showing up. I'm sure people here have experienced it at the Rialto before, any suggestions for a newcomer?

That's simply not possible. The movie is beyond terrible. I don't think that even the die hard fans like the movie. They're just sexually repressed goths.

i went to this for one of Orgeron's classes as extra credit and it was one of the worst two hours of my life

bunch of smelly fat kids/high school goths yelling shit and running around in their underwear. nothing about it was funny or clever. it was just awful

I used to go years and years ago and it was fun... went maybe 3 times. Its best if you go with a group so you can act stupid together.

Cool. Really I was just looking for some encouragement to get a group of people to head out to the show.

I have also seen people hanging outside the Rialto in their RHPS gear and was unsure if you had to dress up to watch.

i go every couple of years just to remind myself of how dumb i was in high school

i'm not sure if it gets dumber every time, or i just get older

there are three or four decent raleigh-specific gags that have been worked in, i'll give them that

just wear normal clothes and don't go to the front at the opening, no one is going to bother you

remember, they're all nerds

yeah, it's worth five bucks if you allow yourself to be as stupid as you need to be to enjoy it

i haven't been since HS, but i used to go regularly my junior and senior years. i've actually considered going back now (it has been 10 years) but...i'm thinking it won't be as "great" as it was back then. i'm a grown-up now, haha.

Quote :
"A re-imagining of the original movie, the two-hour event follows sweethearts Janet Weiss (Victoria Justice) and Brad Majors (Ryan McCartan), who stumble upon the bizarre abode of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Laverne Cox), a sexually ambiguous, flirtatious alien mad scientist. She is holding an annual Transylvanian science convention to showcase the birth of Rocky Horror – a fit, attractive man (Staz Nair) created solely to fulfill Frank’s desires.

The cast also includes Adam Lambert (Eddie), Reeve Carney (Riff Raff), Annaleigh Ashford (Columbia), Christina Milian (Magenta), Ivy Levan (Usherette), Ben Vereen (Dr. Everett Scott) and Tim Curry, the original Frank-N-Furter, as the show’s Criminologist Narrator."
