not necessarily the best of all time, but the ones whose sound of the guitar, or just the way they play it makes you forget about the world or whatever

For me, pretty much in order.
1)David Gilmour (Pink Floyd)
2)Stevie Ray Vaughn
3)Jimi Hendrix
4)The guy from Pearl Jam who played the solo/opening in Yellow Ledbetter
5)Jimmy Page

With Gilmour most of his work really touches me, but for some reason the main riff off "In the Flesh" really hits me

"Breathe" is really relaxing too.

SRV because he takes the blues and makes me not have the blues anymore, but need the blues

Hendrix is pretty obvious, mostly for a few tracks SRV covered nicely that were just as amazing from him. Little Wing and Voodoo Child.

From Page playing the acoustic intro in Over the Hills and Far away to what he did in Heartbreaker/Livin' Lovin' Maid... he might be my favorite of all time.

Interesting note: 4/5 on my list used Fenders/Stratocasters as their main guitar, and then you have Page with his Les Paul

^I really love the sound of his guitar, and even though All Along the Watchtower isn't originally his song, he really makes that song better (and it was already pretty good)
