Not hearing him while Brock is gone makes sense, but Brock was in a flashback in the clone episode, and only grunted in response to Doctor Venture's small talk. It didn't seem to fit at all.

What I really meant to say is, I miss him.

a lil fyi time for twc folks:

as of midnight this morning, cartoon network is in HD now on channel 230 (at least in raleigh area/eastern carolina TWC). there's only a few episodes left this season, but venture brothers is formatted for HD so you might want to adjust your dvr/viewing habits accordingly if you want to take advantage.

How did Dr. Venture get injured? Why was he being chased by 21? I thought at the end of the last season, Brock and 21 teamed up against Monstroso?

He had a stroke from the blood clot caused by the first Fantastic Voyage. When Hatred took him to the hospital he forgot that Venture had metal rods in his arm. The MRI's magnets ripped them out, which is why he was bleeding.

It was 21's first solo command. I think that's it, nothing more. Just a henchman doing his job.

Remember, that wasn't really a season finale since it ended halfway through the season. Chalk it up to the usual sitcom plot resolution/continuity. Everything is back to normal at the beginning of the next episode.
