^3 I have no problem with this thread, just pointing out that I called it first. ^2 I don't think we will see any changes really. Disney owns lots of things that don't get turned into kids stuff. The 3 things I feel pretty confident about seeing are:1) an Incredibles monthly comic2) Marvel rides/attractions at Disneyworld. Maybe even a separate park eventually.3) A Smallville like teen action-drama on ABC Family next year

RAMPANT SPECULATION ABOUT THE BEST KINGDOM HEARTS SEQUEL EVER
9/1/2009 10:57:28 AM
Disney got a stupid deal with marvel. Marvel is nothing short of a cash cow.
9/1/2009 11:02:18 AM
^^Holy crap I didn't even think about that.haha it would be funny if they made a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 when you put Juggernaut up against Donald Duck.[Edited on September 1, 2009 at 11:12 AM. Reason : it would never happen, but it's funny to think about]
9/1/2009 11:12:27 AM
this is a horrible idea from Marvel's perspectiveDisney will ruin Marvel

disney keeps turning kids into whores[Edited on September 4, 2009 at 1:06 PM. Reason : i have statistical evidence]

^^ I don't think Disney will screw with Marvel, at least not the comics. It might mess up the movie franchises, since I doubt disney is going to allow their rival studios to renew current contracts to x-men, spider-man, and avenger franchises.
9/4/2009 3:15:14 PM
We are that much closer to having the Jonas Brothers crushed to death by the Incredible Hulk.
9/4/2009 3:34:54 PM
lol well since you put it that way, maybe its not such a bad thing

disney will absolutely ruin marvel, just like they ruined espn with all these special interest bullshit videos and countdowns and horrible shows like cold pizza and that new audience participation based show. nevermind the hiring of hannah storm and all the other girls they put on the network that nobody likes.

Hey guys, looks like this turned out alright after all. In other news, Marvel now has the ability to put Spider-Man in the MCU!http://marvel.com/news/movies/24062/sony_pictures_entertainment_brings_marvel_studios_into_the_amazing_world_of_spider-man
2/10/2015 12:56:44 AM
I like how the headline is that Marvel is going into the world of Spider-Man, not the other way around.
2/10/2015 8:54:35 AM
This excites me. I hate that it took so long to get this done. Sony should have realized years ago they were missing an even greater money train with Spidy being left out the MCU... his story lines would have started to run stale.Cannot wait to see how/when/where they bring him into the story line. I would also hope they address where Spidy might have been during Avengers with the attach in NYC! III
2/10/2015 12:38:43 PM
I have to believe that Civil War is the most likely place they'll start with Spidey.
2/10/2015 12:53:42 PM
^Agreed. ^^ I'm pretty sure this isn't going to be the same spider man that has been in the last 2 Sony movies, they are starting over yet again, so he may not have had his powers at the time of the attack. I am extremely hopeful that since he is being introduced in another Marvel movie first it means that we won't have to sit through another fucking origin movie
2/10/2015 1:18:50 PM
Marvel has said that they are not going to bother with an origin story, even if they were able to regain control of the standalone spider man titles and reboot a brand new spider man.Basically along the lines of everyone knows the story, no need to waste the viewer's time.

Good to hear that they will not rehash an origin story.... With that, will that go from Spiderman plot or Amazing Spiderman... III
2/11/2015 1:24:30 PM
Hopefully the Sam Raimi ones. The first two Spider-Man films were really good.
2/12/2015 10:13:19 AM
first big ant-man trailer i've seenhttp://www.businessinsider.com/ant-man-trailer-2015-1
2/13/2015 6:27:27 AM
I'm skeptical about some of the details of the contract.Spider-man is going to be considered a part of the MCU even though it says that Sony will have full creative control in the solo pics. But since he's part of the MCU wouldn't they have to run the scripts through Kevin Feige and the MCU to ensure that the Spidey movies stay consistent with the story the MCU is trying to tell?
2/16/2015 4:46:55 PM
I think they have "final" creative control and from what I've read, they've announced it like that only so Sony doesn't look like complete bitches in the deal.Marvel will do whatever they want to do with Spiderman as long as he isn't pissing on a Sony logo.
