I was with some friends in Dunkin Doughnuts and the whole family came walking in and I immediately recognized the kid. No one else who was with me had seen the video so I pulled it up on my phone so I could make sure it was really him and I wasn't imagining it. Someone finally gathered the courage to walk up to the dad and ask if that was him, and sure enough it was.

The dad said he does youtube videos as a regular thing and has over 200 made. He then gave us his business card. We took pictures (I'll put more up as I get them, the one in the OP is the only one from my camera) and got the kid's autograph lol.

The kid's name is Locke, his brother is Link and the sister is Lilly if I remember right.

I do not find it weird.
I do find the fact that you find it weird to be weird though.
Makes me wonder what is going on in your head.

I think it's lame enough walking up to a random celebrity and asking for an autograph/picture

but doing it to a local internet celebrity?

who happens to be a toddler???

I told the kid when he eventually goes to NC State he should run for Student Body President on the platform of "I hate tar heels!"

I work with children for a living. Nothing makes a child feel better about themselves than when others make him feel important.

I also had his brother and sister sign their names so they would feel important too.

It wasn't about getting an autograph with an internet personality, it was about letting three kids know they have made my day better by being who they are.

it's not weird that you said "hi" and mentioned that you enjoyed the video.

what's weird about this is you posting pictures you took of some stranger's kids on the internet, and then name-dropping a family of toddlers and children

the fact that it's The Wolf Web.... well, that makes it a little bit worse.

i understand that you were highly amused by the video, but this is sort of stalkerish.

In fairness, the video of the kid was in the youtube channel for his dad's comedy duo. It was meant to be public, and neither the kid nor his parents would find this creepy or stalkerish....quite the opposite - they'll be glad it got views.

If it were just some video posted by parents who needed an online place to store the video, and it was only intended for family/friends, then yes, that would be a bit worse. But it's not.

We are trying to get Maya to say wolfpack. Her favorite blanket to sleep with is an NC State blanket with silk edges. When we point to the emblem on the blanket and say "WOLFPACK!" she at least shakes her head yes in acknowledgment.

i dont care that the dad started this all with a public YouTube video, and i don't care that he said "go ahead" to posting these photos.

Why not? There's nothing wrong with getting your kid to root for your school's sports teams. Trying to influence their decision on where they want to go to school when the time comes is another matter.

I, too, had no choice but to root for the Mets... too bad I also forced to be a Jets fan

I'm a New York fan and I remember ONE championship in my lifetime for teams I root for ('94 Rangers).
