So AIM worked fine last week, went to sign in and now displays the error message "Settings error before sign in"

Can't think of anything I changed. Already tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few different versions with no luck. AOL says its a common issue with no direct fix and to submit a bug report into their black hole of crap company service....

so everything worked fine last week, and the 2 years before that with the same version of AIM....fix me

So my Network Connection in my tray has a red X and reads "Conection Status: Unknown" "Server execution failed" Internet works just fine though, obviously...what does that mean?

It means you should upgrade to something that isn't AIM. Welcome to 2009.
