Saffron in Morrisville. You have to go to the source. Morrisville is practically Little India.

I like Chef of India in Cary (formerly Suchi). Lunch is fairly cheap and very tasty, not sure about dinner.

Azitra:Indian Food :: PF Changs:Chinese food.

Hell, i refer to Azitra as PF Patels.

- India mahal is garbage, and everyone seems to know that.
- Royal india is really good, but pretty expensive.
- Sitar is one of my favorite joints, but I do remember the location in raleigh not being as good as the durham one.
- Taj Mahal is really good, I recommend the goat and lamb curry.
- Saffron is not as good as India Mahal, but very expensive.
- Bamboo garden is not indian food.
- Bombay grille is pretty average. Not great, not bad, wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

Suchi was by far my favorite place in the triangle when it was open. I haven't been since the name change, though. Assuming the same people run it, it's top notch.

And I thought I was the only TWW gringo who knew about the mexican place around the corner. The menu is all spanish, they don't really speak english there (not saying they can't, but just that they don't.) and it's the restaurant where mexican people actually eat at (how many mexicans actually eat at el rodeo and its clones?)

Marko, do they still have the awesome mural on the wall?

Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. I love that goat rice dish thing they have.

My dad has this client from England that's originally from India. Whenever he comes to Raleigh for business he asks if they can go to Azitra for lunch. So I guess that means it must be good

Mint on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill is fantastic.

I went to Saffron once when they first opened and got the impression that just picked any recipe off the internet, threw curry on it, and then called it Indian.

Suchi was great, but I wouldn't call it "top notch" since they stopped calling it Suchi when they were shut down after getting a 73 sanitation score.

aha yeah, i don't really roll to that joint without my friend luis (who's Guatemalan by birth, though dude's really a NOVA guy)... that way i know what's going down and don't get lost in my kindergarten-level spanish

but yeah, it's almost 100% brown in there

and i don't remember if they have the mural or not... i'm always too busy shoving food down my gullet
