I disagree with him because hes just not that good but he makes a strong point. You guys are overlooking the fact that all the top athletes are black so they deservingly get credit, but think about when a really good white athlete emerges. They take the spotlight. Just recently a white girl won a few matches in the US open and the entire nation was ready to embrace her. Imagine if she actually won the major.

Think about Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki. They've never been the best player in the NBA but have multiple mvps between the two. Tyler Hansbrough got much more publicity than Blake Griffin.

A really good white player can be just as big as a great black player.

I really disagree mambagrl.

That girl got a lot of attention because she was a teenager, and she was also fairly attractive, and she came out of virtually nowhere to almost win a major tournament. The fact that she was white had no bearing.

And to say that Nash or Dirk has not been the best player is just silly. The best player doesn't have to be someone who is flashy and stuff. It can easily be a guy with a great underneath game who is a good leader.
