hes supposed to be fighting gegard mousasi I have heard...hopefully i misread

because gegard is going to murder his fuckin ass, and Herschel Walker's manager must not want to make any money off Walker's name

because as good as Gegard is, he has no name recognition in the states (he has a little more now since he just destroyed babalu) and gegard is a huge 205lber that wants to fight heavyweight and hes like 22 years old

i dont see why his manager would let him fight mousasi it does nothing for Herschel given his age..even if hes not fighting the dude, i dont feel like he should be fighting anyone in strikeforce at all

but not my problem...ill watch him fight just wish hed be handled a little more carefully


but i will say he will get excellent trainin under Bob cook at AKA....working with Koschek, Velasquez, Paul Buentello, Mike Swick and John Fitch

Ricardo Mayorga (former boxing world champ) also to try his luck at MMA

"I have had a few training sessions and once I get the approval that I can start doing MMA, I will learn even more quickly," Mayorga said. "I consider it easier than boxing in that you can use your legs to kick your opponent. The idea of using smaller gloves also has me very anxious to try it. "Boxing has many more rules." Mayorga said he has not retired from boxing. In addition to pursuing his MMA aspirations, Mayorga would like to box again once he settles his legal dispute with King. Mayorga's last fight was a 12th-round knockout loss against Shane Mosley in September 2008. Mayorga, whose boxing record is 28-7-1 and 22 KOs, won the World Boxing Council welterweight title with a third-round technical knockout over Vernon Forrest in 2003 and lost the belt against Cory Spinks in a title unification fight the following year. In 2005, Mayorga defeated Michelle Piccirillo for the vacant WBC super-welterweight belt but lost the title in his first defense against Oscar De La Hoya."

I think Walker could surprise. He is obviously a world class athlete who has kept himself in incredible shape. If he has a lot of previous experience and training in different types of martial arts he could end up being half decent.
