Last week.......missed 2 missed fg's/crappy kickoff return defense/tj graham taking his sweet time to hit any wholes on kickoffs getting stopped at the 15 ever time

This week......Short kickoffs, Terrible Kickoff, Punt Coverage........The lame rugby style punts that go line drive at the returner giving him a head of steam


Does anyone else agree that the spread punt formation is f'ing terrible.........if va tech doesn't do it then why would we?......those guys make a living off special teams......

I don't know why this irks me but I can understand we are young in the secondary and linebackers might breakdown (expected without experience) but overall special teams has been brutal...put the guys in who can do the damn job...................

My biggest gripe is TJ Graham. Dude takes forever to make up his mind and then hit his stride.
Needs better field vision.

^ + Eleventy billion. I've been saying the same thing since the South Carolina game. What good is all that speed if you finally decide on a hole after you've already been tackled.

TJ Graham is overrated but there's no way anyone's biggest gripe should be anything but our punt and kickoff coverage. We put our defense in a bad spot everytime we run the special teams unit out there.

^ never.......why not put pressure on the punter...how many times do you see the punter maybe drop or fumble the snap...if you rush something good will happen

I don't mind not trying to pressure a punter. We had enough roughing the kicker penalties from the Amato days that I feel better letting our return man try and work a little magic.

^^seriously, some people need to just walk away from the computer when we lose. this thread isn't necessary. there are plenty of other threads to bitch and moan in. next loss will yield a thread by the title of..."new turf cost us the game: discuss various grass types/drainage systems in here!"
